After their mother's death, Simon and Jules Cartier discover that their father, whom they thought was dead for a long time, would still be alive.
The brothers eventually travel to the confines of the province hoping to learn more about their nebulous past. A thousand miles away from the comforts of their daily lives, they realize that their father is far from the man they hoped for. FCVQ2019.不得不说这是电影节电影的魅力，在开始看片前对片子完全没有了解（只凭有无字幕决定是否观看），本来以为只是与父亲以及与自己和解家庭剧情片，结果剧情反转最后却是个悬疑片，哪怕在之前要是有公众号不剧透多写几句都会对观影体验产生负面影响。一开始看到哥哥稳重却在追求前景渺茫的演员职业，弟弟酒精大麻成瘾却稳定的职业，这种反套路的人物设定还以为是为了给之后兄弟间冲突作戏，没想到是剧情反转埋下的伏笔；母亲遗物中有大麻又让之后父亲对母亲双重人格的精神疾病有了暗示，信息传达得非常高效。但静下心来想想这最多是一个剧本非常缜密的悬疑类型片，欲扬先抑的表现手法特别突出，精致但又缺乏可供挖掘主题的深度。
