Akhe's Movies

In 1989, artists Maxim Isaev, Pavel Semchenko and Vadim Vasilyev created a group called "AXE". Group from the outset declared itself free from the framework of genre and styles. The Group, continuing to paint, make movies, take part in the opening days, and most importantly create courtyards, galleries, the staircases and in the workshops of the unique action-performance close to the rituals and initiations that brought the "AXE" fame and recognition of the artistic community of St. Petersburg and Moscow. In 1999, the group returned Jan Tumin, an actress from the early films, "AXE", and from about this time, the staff takes a constant composition and calls himself a Russian Engineering Theater "AXE".
