剧情介绍
Munich, Germany - in exile an almost unknown minority is trying to keep its culture, language and religion alive: the Uyghurs. Their home country has been occupied by China for more than 60 years. Many Uyghurs have fled from oppression and have built a new existence abroad. 'An Ant's Journey' is a documentary about the largest Uyghur community in Europe. It tells the stories of various people, an artist, a former teacher, a human rights activist, of young people growing up in Germany and of the 'mother of all Uyghurs' - Rebiya Kadeer. There is one thing that connects those diverse stories: the hope of being able to return to their home country one day without fear - if it still exists then.
