钢铁心 Steelheart

FilmEngine has optioned Steelheart, an upcoming novel by Brandon Sanderson that will recently was acquired by Random House’s Delacorte Press in a seven-figure publishing deal. Anthony Rhulen and Navid McIlhargey will produce along with Chair Entertainment’s Donald Mustard.
　　Set in the near future, right after the dawn in which a select few, called Epics, develop super powers, a nine year-old sees his father wound the allegedly invincible Steelheart, the high Epic who seizes control of their city. After the weakened Steelheart kills the boy’s father, the kid ten year later joins a secret resistance movement who assassinate Super Villains. Using his knowledge of Steelheart’s weakness, he helps take down the leaders. FilmEngine is revving up after the hiring of former New Regency exec McIlhargey, and it was he who got the company an early peek at the book after the exec met the author.
