剧情介绍
With exhilirating rhythms and flashing sideways motion, the latest by celebrated Italian aritst Paolo Gioli is a 16mm, black and white ode to faces and the city. Il Finish delle Figure reminds one of Muybridge but relays a sense of the conteporary, sensory overload of living in a metropolis.
"Extracting from rolls of 35mm film, I made exposures using the photofinish technique. That is, images intended as photograhy, and therefore as still images. I wanted to animate them at the very limit of technical impossibility. Scanning these rolls of figures in agitation, shooting one frame at a time, I tried to extract a film from what was not a film, where frames precisely do not exist and the process of hand-cranking exposures was equivalent to that of a movie camera" --- P.Gioli
