Vowels & Consonants

Images were produced by printing letter forms directly onto raw 16mm film. The vowels of this piece produces sound while the consonants are silent. The shapes of ‘O’s and ‘E’s make sounds as they pass across the projectors’ optical sound heads. These sounds resemble at times the uttered sounds of the letter forms, the warm sounds of ‘O’ or the edgier sounds of ‘E ‘.
　　In the past performance of Vowels and Consonants, Lynn projects the vowels and Guy’s projects the consonants. For the performance in EXiS 2009, Lynn will be performing with bo
