ABC has put in development True Love, an hourlong romantic dramedy from Brooklyn Girls author Gemma Burgess, The Proposal helmer Anne Fletcher and Fabrik Entertainment.
The anthology project, from ABC Studios, is very loosely inspired by classic fairy tales and subverted with a provocative and authentic post-feminist twist that believes you can stand on your own and still want to be swept off your feet. The Proposal helmer Anne Fletcher is attached to direct the potential pilot and will serve as executive producer alongside Fabrik Entertainment’s Kristen Campo, Henrik Bastian and Mikkel Bondesen (Bosch, The Killing, Burn Notice). Burgess will serve as co-executive producer. ABC Studios is the studio.
