NOTES BEFORE THE REVOLUTION is the first part of a film diary project POSTCARDS FROM HONG KONG. It documented the passing of the filmmaker’s father and the handover of Hong Kong to China before and after 1997. In the film, personal and historical events intertwined and become parallel metaphors for each other in a time of turbulent change.
