On his deathbed, Lalo and Roberto’s grandfather conveys one final wish: set Elephant, his beloved horse, free before she ends up at the slaughterhouse. Just as the young brothers get on track to accomplish their mission, Elephant is kidnapped and taken to a circus. Lalo and Roberto have no choice but to embark on a whimsical adventure to infiltrate the circus and rescue Elephant. Inspired by Chilean folk singer-songwriter Lalo Parra’s childhood memories, Andrés Waissbluth’s third feature combines live action with animation to construct a world of fantasy with a touch of magical realism.
