虽是真实事件改编，但拍得比较温吞，没有故事，没有高潮，也缺乏精彩的细节。男主角更不知有什么用，在电影中毫无光彩。让人觉得这个驯马师是个可有可无的人物。好在最后的赛马还有所弥补。
