New York, 1971. There’s a party on the stage of the Weismann Theatre. Tomorrow the iconic building will be demolished. Thirty years after their final performance, the Follies girls gather to have a few drinks, sing a few songs and lie about themselves.
Tracie Bennett, Janie Dee and Imelda Staunton play the magnificent Follies in this dazzling new production. Featuring a cast of 37 and an orchestra of 21, it’s directed by Dominic Cooke (The Comedy of Errors).

糟糕的收音設備把現場衝擊力扣了30%，切鏡盡了努力也無法捕捉舞台上所有轉瞬即逝的細節。這版舞台美學和表演設計幾近完美，只能說留下NTLIVE影像已經謝天謝地。但它真正的魅力只有現場才能原汁原味感受到了。（順說也看過橋景，小狗的現場和live，落差感沒這麼大）
NTLive 终于拯救了现场坐在 Olivier 二层最后一排什么都没看清的我对伪第一幕的理解，不过伪第二幕Loveland的staging和服装还是要看现场啊绝对震撼多了。最近三次去伦敦每次都能看 Staunton 阿姨的现场我可以讲是非常幸福了，这次加上PQ叔是双倍的幸福。
Goddamn Phillis is something! 年轻过，纯真过，爱过，伤心过，变成熟变冷漠变得看开一切，到头来还是你离不开我。老阿姨们别有风韵，年岁的交错精巧，人物生动饱满，歌词也确实有水准；主角的对白在经典的旋律中总是没能那么融洽，渣男怨女的故事又让宏大凋萎。
