David Lean and his Dedicated Maniacs

Oscar-winning director David Lean said of film-making that good films can only be made by a crew of dedicated maniacs. To that end he gathered round him a small team who shared his total commitment to film-making, and who dedicated the bulk of their professional lives to help bring his vision to the big screen.
　　In this documentary narrated by Nigel Havers, four of the colleagues who worked with him on his classic films such as The Bridge on the River Kwai, Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago share their memories of their time on set with a man who demanded perfection.
