剧情介绍
Abu Muhammad runs a small corner store in Englewood, one of Chicago’s poorest neighborhoods in the city’s south side. A Palestinian immigrant, he belongs to a large population of Arab-Americans, who own the majority of businesses in the predominantly black neighborhood – once a thriving center for black owned businesses in the 60s and 70s.
At the intersection of the Middle East and the Midwestern US, Corner Stores offers an intimate glimpse into the relationship between a Palestinian corner storeowner and his African American customers in Chicago’s inner city.
