Requiem

New Town is in Bukgajwa-dong Gajeawool, South Korea in a community where residents have been forced to abandon their homes. In the places where most have already left, some people still refuse to leave. Their anxiety of being evicted and their fear of falling down the ladder of social hierarchy has made their lives even more miserable. What is more serious about this large development project is how it has forced people to wipe clean the memory of their lives.
　　Sung-jae and Jung-hyun wanted to film the last moments of Gajeawool and the remnants of the residents’ memories. However, what stopped them from doing so was the violence of capitalism and urban development, and the attack of people who had completely lost their memories of the past. After losing these memories, people became soulless zombies wondering around abandoned houses and streets and seeking for an opportunity to usurp the world they live in.
