剧情介绍
Philip Larkin by Sir Andrew Motion (1×60) is part of Sky Arts' Passions series. It will be presented by a close friend of Larkin, Sir Andrew Motion (pictured), who explores the poet's life, work and relationship to his hometown of Hull.
Combined with Motion's personal stories are performances of some of Larkin's best-known work, as people from the city of Hull give recitals in locations including pubs, schools and car parks.
Former poet laureate Motion explores Larkin's extraordinary — and sometimes controversial — legacy, meeting with a range of contributors to define Larkin's relationship with the city. The story will also be a personal one, explaining how Larkin became Motion's friend and mentor, but left him with an uncomfortable legacy he had to try to make sense of.
