A short documentary exposing the realities and difficulties faced by the people involved on a new version of Howard Hawks' classic Scarface (1932) and how they managed to transpose the background story to the then new 1980's audiences. De Palma, Pacino, writer Oliver Stone and producer Martin Bregman make comparisons with the 1930's film and the changes needed for the updated project.
