Filmed for three years on China's railways, The Iron Ministry traces the vast interiors and thick gestures of a country on the move: flesh and metal, light and dark, language and sound. Dozens of rail journeys come together into a singular cinematic train that captures the anxiety and thrill of transitory encounters, and depicts the uneasy cohabitation of humans and machines on what will soon be the world's largest railway network.

比起松花更喜欢铁道 可能因为有个大概的结构带人进入那个具体的时空里 一开头就是环境细节开启感官 带人进入拥挤杂乱不洁空间 跟随火车上标志性的流动售货员走入人群 展示复杂众生相 人们与摄像机的化学反应总是很有意思 接着旁观人群中的交谈 捕捉神色语态 最后走向个人 与他们对话 面对面直接地接触他们的情绪 观点 然后带出丰富的潜在文本 铁道中的地域特色更加强烈 整个下来很有意思 导演也没有想要隐藏拍摄的动作 画外音直接与人互动 但是代入感就是很强 导演中文真好
