The programme interviews directors Chen Kaige, and Wen Jiang,amongst others, critic Shao Mujin, actress Lu Liping, and features clips from numerous films including Red Sorghum, Farewell my Concubine, Woman Sesame Oil Maker(Xie Fie), Old Well (Wu Tianming) and Haunted Soul by Shuqin Huang starring Gong Li.
