剧情介绍
Japanese-Canadian filmmaker Linda Ohama Interviews her 103 year-old grandmother and unveils the inercontinental marriage of a girl from Hiroshima. In 1923, her grandmother left Hiroshima as a "picture bride" and settled in a fishing village in Stevenston, British Columbia. Yet her heart remained in Japan. Japanese traditions and culture are steadfastly upheld by serveral generations of the family in Canada. Through yellowed pistures, family members remember grandmother dancing in a colorful garden. Yet underneath those benign days lie memories of the Hiroshima bombing and the suffering of World War II. Inravelling the mystery of identity with drama and archive footage, the film is an unusual autobiographical journey.
