"The work is a found footage work: i.e., a montage of short clips from existing films. The films are from all over the world, including Fran c e, mainland China, Hong Kong, India, the US, etc. Each of the clips shows an image of a clock marking the time. The work lasts for 24 hours, and it is synchronized with the time of the location where it is shown. For instance, if you see the work in London and it is now 11:25 AM, then you will see on the screen a clock or watch pointing at exactly that time.
It has been shown in London, New York, and Venice. It received an award in Venice. "

在ottawa的art gallery看了半个小时.确实是太酷了.连续24小时的放映,每个时间点都对得刚刚好,这是得有多大的一个film database啊!

前无古人的一个极好的想法，但完成这个想法却要花费极长的时间精力和耐心，一个巨大的电影数据库，旷日持久的研究和搜索，夜以继日的剪切、拼贴和编辑，而最终出来的确是一部名留青史的精良的作品，这是一个独创性和抄袭并具并且将两者发挥到极致的成果。

这次看了两个半小时，非常有意思。电影本身是为了让人忘记时间流逝的，看电影时我们很容易完全丧失估算时间的能力，在这个意义上，这件作品简直是和电影的致幻作用背道而驰，它把时间性（通过剪辑，乃至空间性）完全暴露出来，其他镜头变成佐料，所有人都在等待和寻找银幕上的表。但另一方面，这种裸体的时间让人反而不真的感觉时间流逝，一分钟一分钟过得特别快，时间的线性运动于是成为最让人兴致盎然的叙事，与之相配的是人类围绕时间展开的活动形成了千百万个支线，Kuleshov effect让我们觉得我们像上帝一样注视着同一时刻中人类活动的分支和交汇。影像的堆积本身就是时间，就是空间，进而就是故事。换个角度，入选的电影的面貌也值得讨论，比如什么文化背景、什么类型的电影里最经常再现具体的时刻？想半夜再去一次。
